Tonight I reluctantly tagged along with a couple friends of mine to see the latest Will Ferrell movie "Talladega Nights." If “Talladega Nights” has taught me anything, it's that Arizonans have crappy taste in comedy. (I don’t count because I was dragged into seeing it) It also taught me that anyone can make a successful comedic film in America. Sam’s guide to making a successful American comedic film: Cast Will Ferrell .This is a must. You must have Will Ferrell play the lead. If so, you're guaranteed to attract tens of millions of people. Next, have awkward homoerotic scenes with the characters. Bonus: make two of the male characters kiss. Awkwardly.  Apparently homosexuality is hilarious to Americans.

The idea of two guys kissing is silly to us. (This is shown in many many 'comedic' films as often is the case two dudes end up making out...and hilarity ensues. And, thirdly, cast a foreign guy with a funny accent. Foreign people are funny to Americans and we just love their silly accents.  Ok, now that that's out of the way, on to the review. “Talladega “Nights” tells us the story of Ricky Bobby (played by of course Will Ferrell) and his success then failure then success as a NASCAR driver. This movie is by the same people that brought us anchorman, but the only difference was anchorman was actually descent. A couple people I like appeared in the film (Andy Richter and the Ali g guy) but not even these comedic gods could save this piece of crap.

Ah I should probably summarize the film, well here we go. Ricky bobby loves to drive fast...and he becomes a wealthy NASCAR driver. Then crashes his car...loses his success. His wife leaves him, then he bounces back and becomes a good NASCAR driver again...that’s the entire movie to you in one sentence. Now you don’t have to see the film. There I just saved you 6 bucks. (sorry if this review is crappy im tired) anyways, the worst part about this movie is im going to hear people my age quote it constantly thinking their funny by recycling quotes from crappy movies. (This is why I developed a hatred for anchorman because people think its funny to repeat things will ferral says millions of times. in front of me, when actually it’s just really annoying. Ah, but the night wasn’t a total loss! I did see a preview for the upcoming tenacious d movie. So if you couldn’t tell, I didn’t like this movie. Do not see it. That is all
